Date Night At The Museum will head to three east-coast capitals to support 'Flashing Lights'
Sydney-based indie-pop upstarts Date Night At The Museum have a slew of goodies for the faithful today, with the release of new single Flashing Lights being accompanied by a film clip with pedigree and the announcement of a string of east-coast shows this July in support of the track.
Directed by Tropfest winners Tristan Klein and Nick Baker, the song's video is a delicate, beautifully animated affair, stylistically reminiscent of old paper cutout-style animation and scored with the band's shimmering guitar tones, sparkling female vocals and unobtrusive, pace-setting percussion.
It's a gorgeous little track, demonstrating a wealth of maturity for a band just putting out their debut release, and to make sure as many ears as possible get to hear it, Date Night At The Museum are setting out to Brisbane and Melbourne on July 24 and 25 before returning to their home town on July 26 to cap off a triumphant triumvirate of shows in support.
