More Spacey Jane More Spacey Jane

Australian treasures Spacey Jane are set to return to live performances - and fast. With an intimate show announced as soon as tomorrow, January 14th, the band will be returning to the stage after a year of hibernation, giving their hometown joint The Rosemount Hotel the first glimpse of new Spacey.

The announcement of a hometown show was posted this morning to socials, following up news of the band releasing new music shortly. As of last week, the four-piece encouraged fans to direct-message the band via socials for a sneak peek at their upcoming single All The Noise. Departing from salty indie rock, the band are separating themselves from WA’s biggest genre export for a more rock-tinged sound. Frontman Caleb Harper has described the song as “bigger, poppier, and layered,” introducing a darker and grittier aesthetic to the band’s catalogue.

Harper and the band urge punters to “get your clicking fingers ready”, as tickets for the Rosemount performance will go on sale at 10am AWST tomorrow morning (14th January), mere hours before the gig itself. Rosemount advertises their space as having an 853-strong capacity, so queuing will be tight for Perthians.

According to the band, tickets for the secret show will support indigenous-led environmental efforts via a partnership with Plus1. Fans eager to experience the band’s new era can find details on Spacey Jane’s Instagram.

For a group that sold over 85,000 tickets on their last tour, this return to smaller, intimate venues offers a rare chance to connect with fans up close, with the band who grew so rapidly returning to the venues that started it all.
