More Millencolin More Millencolin

Millencolin may have been pleasing punk fans for going on 24 years now, but there's evidently still plenty of fuel in the ol' tank as the group announce their Aussie tour plans for 2016, taking in six shows around the country in support of last year's full-length effort True Brew.

Upon its release, the album was acclaimed as being a return to early form for the skate-punk veterans, who had progressively shifted away from the frayed, high-octane sounds of yore to a more measured, polished approach over the course of several albums.  This wide-ranging, career-long soundscape shift will be given a comprehensive highlighting when the band touch down to kick off their sojourn at Metropolis, in Fremantle, on Tuesday 26 April, with promises of not just new gems but plenty of old favourites among the set list mix.

From the west, Millencolin head to Adelaide (HQ, Thursday 28 April) before opening up for licensed all-ages goodness at Sydney's Roundhouse on Friday 29 April. It's up to Qld next for a pair of shows — one at the Coolangatta Hotel on Saturday 30 April, the other at Brisbane's Tivoli on Sunday 1 May — before heading to Melbourne, where they'll bring it all to a close at 170 Russell on Tuesday 3 May.

Tickets for all of Millencolin's Aussie shows go on sale from 9am this Friday, 22 January, through Destroy All Lines, Oztix (bar Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne), Ticketek (Sydney only), Ticketmaster (Brisbane only) and 170 Russell (Melbourne only, natch).
