Legendary Aussie muso James Black to kick off proceedings

While Sia is kicking goals in every direction around the world, the singer’s hometown of Adelaide has honoured her achievements by naming The University Of Adelaide’s new of contemporary music and media institute after her.

The Sia Furler Institute has now revealed its inaugural lecture will happen next Thursday, May 12, and will be led by legendary Aussie guitarist and key player James Black, formerly of Mondo Rock and The Black Sorrows fame.

Black, now working on RocKwiz, kicks things off by posing the perfect question with lecture What Makes a Band Sound Good?, something that Sia herself seems to have mastered early on in the game.

The two-hour lecture will go down at the University’s Elder Conservatorium of Music, where the institute is housed.
