Survey #3 for 2016 has been released.
With the third round of radio ratings released today there has been a mixed bag for many stations across the country — despite seeing some nice increases across the board, Sydney's 2DayFM breakfast show remains at the back end of the pack, while triple j in Melbourne has enjoyed solid increases in every category.

Since its inception last year, 2DayFM's Rove & Sam has failed to make any impact, however this time around the duo have experienced their first ever increase — up 0.3 from the last survey to take in a share of 3.3. Encouraging as that may be, the show is still a long way off from challenging its FM rivals, so it will be interesting to see if the news will be considered as a turning point or if the alarm bells are still ringing for the Southern Cross Austereo network.

Over on KIIS, breakfast heavyweights Kyle & Jackie O have retained the #1 spot with a share of 9.9, despite a significant drop of 1.4 from the last outing, while Sydney's triple j had a disappointing round, experiencing drops in every category, most notably the drive slot, which slipped by a whopping 2.6 to bring in a share of 7.0.
The latest survey was much better for the youth broadcaster in Melbourne which saw increases across the board to enjoy an overall weekday share of 5.5.
Fox FM's Hamish & Andy yet again stamped their dominance on the drive market by increasing their share from 10.5 to 11.7, way out ahead of second place Nova 100 which maintained an 8.6 share.
Triple M also held on to the breakfast crown with a share of 9.5 (up 1.5 from survey #2) to beat out Fox which finished with 8.0. However, Fox still toppled its fellow SCA station for overall weekday share with a 9.3 rating, ahead of Triple M's 8.7.
97.3FM were the big winners in the Brisbane market for survey #3, with some huge increases in the main markets — the station increased its position at #1 on breakfast, jumping from 13.5 to 14.0, while the drive slot also took out #1 as it increased by 1.5 to bring in a remarkable 15.1 rating.
Besides a huge increase of 2.9 in the evening slot and a 0.6 jump for weekends, triple j performed poorly everywhere else with drops in the breakfast, afternoon and drive slots, ensuring that their weekday share remained unchanged.
The news doesn't get much better for Adelaide's triple j network either, with drops across the board seeing its overall weekday share drop by 0.4 to clinch a 6.8 rating.
While Mix 102.3 (11.5) nudged Nova 91.9 (11.3) in breakfast, it was Nova who won the overall battle thanks to some healthy boosts across the board as it brought in a weekday share of 12.1, a big jump of 0.7 from the previous survey.
Triple M took some nasty hits as well this time out, especially Merrick Watts' drive show, Merrick & Australia, which fell by 2.5 to grab a share of 9.8.
After having to settle for tied first in the previous survey, Mix 94.5 have kicked back out to solely claim first place with an overall weekday share of 14.9, ahead of Nova 93.7 who took a marginal drop of 0.6 to claim a 13.3 share.
Despite the drop, Nova still came in at #1 for breakfast (14.6), while it also won bragging rights in the drive slot with a massive 15.6 rating, well ahead of Mix in second (14.3).
The Adelaide survey results show that Mix 102.3 pulled in a breakfast share of 11.5, while Nova 91.9 rated an 11.3.
