Robbie Williams, the Take That and solo crooner, is following a different musical direction with his latest project, Lufthaus, a dance group made up of Williams and his writing partners, Tim Metcalfe and Flynn Francis.
The trio have released four songs to date via the Dutch independent record label, Armada Music, including their February 2022 debut track, Sway, followed by To The Light, Soul Seekers, and last month, Unloveable.
Now, it seems that the group are ready to release their debut album, with a source telling The Sun: “The album will be out in the autumn. It is a momentous time for Robbie, Tim and Flynn.”
The source added, “This is a real passion project for Rob and he has loved being able to create new music which is the polar opposite of his back catalogue.
"Lufthaus are ready to make their mark on the dance music industry and Robbie thinks the group can go far.
“Tim and Robbie are performing as Lufthaus ahead of Robbie’s solo set on his tour and the reception has been incredible.”
In January, Williams joined the hosts of the Robbie Williams Rewind Podcast and teased, “I have got two albums coming out pretty soon. I have a vault of new Lufthaus stuff. I could do three albums of it as Robbie Williams, but new stuff gets written, and you get excited about that. I want to put an album out before the summer.”
Robbie Williams will return to Australia this November behind his latest album, XXV and celebrate 25 years as a solo artist.
The Robbie Williams XXV tour will see the entertainer play a set full of his greatest hits and audience favourites at a series of A Day On The Green shows, as well as perform two enormous stadium concerts in Sydney and Melbourne.
The stadium gigs will take place in Sydney at the newly renovated Allianz Stadium on Thursday, 16 November and in Melbourne at AAMI Park on Thursday, 23 November.
Williams will also play A Day On The Green events at Sirromet Wines in Mount Cotton, Queensland on 18 November, and Mt Duneed Estate in Geelong in regional Victoria on 25 November, before traversing the country to make his Swan Valley, WA debut at Nikola Estate on 1 December.
