The venue's vendor has issued a statement.
The sale of the building which houses famous Melbourne nightclub Revolver Upstairs raised concerns about the future of the venue, however those concerns can be put to rest.
The Chapel Street property has been listed for sale, however vendor of Revolver, Kurt Valkenstein, has quashed any rumours that the nightclub will also be shutting down.
"There is no uncertain future about Revolver Upstairs," Falkenstein tweeted today.
"Revolver has a very long term and secure future. I also share the building (@revolverlane) and we're not displacing anyone. The sale was launched pre-COVID."
In a statement given to The Music today, Falkenstein expanded on his earlier tweet.
"I can proudly say that before offering the properties for sale, we ensured Revolver had a secure, long-term tenancy to keep providing fantastic live music for many, many more years - as it's done for the previous 23," he told The Music.

"We're very proud and fortunate to share the building with such an iconic neighbour, and we would never do anything to diminish something so special. We wanted to make sure that any potential buyer knew that Revolver was here to stay.
"Nothing to worry about here - Revolver's future is safe. As they say... Revs For Evs!"
Revolver has hosted a number of big-name gigs from both local and international names over the years, while iconic DJ Fatboy Slim performed a special show there in January in support of bushfire relief efforts.
The sale comes just weeks after it was confirmed that revered Collingwood venue The Gasometer Hotel had also gone up for sale.
Meanwhile in Sydney this week, Surry Hills watering hole Cafe Lounge Sydney announced its permanent closure after a 20-year run due to the COVID pandemic.
You may have noticed our building, 229 Chapel St, is for sale! Don’t worry, Revs has a long lease in place. We aren’t going anywhere!
