First came 'Failed States', now comes 'Failed Imagineer'.
Whilst making a super-charged anti-fascist political statement and perhaps also an acknowledgment of where they are in their career right now, Propagandhi will release their first album in five years this September - 'Victory Lap'.
'Victory Lap' will land on September 29th, to be precise, via Epitaph Records and it will also mark the first Propagandhi record with their new guitarist, Sulynn Hago, who now joins drummer Jord Samolesky, frontman Chris Hannah, and bassist Todd Kowalski. Replacing longtime guitarist David Guillas (whose work will appear on several tracks across 'Victory Lap'), Hago was added to the lineup after Propagandhi released a raw video audition tape of them playing with her and received hundreds of responses in favour of her joining, with the band also loving her initiative to take on the backing vocal role. A perfect fit for Propagandhi, to be sure! (You can watch that full audition clip here).
The Canadian punks released the LP's title track dropped last month to a very warm response, and the latest cut from the record, 'Failed Imagineer', which once again shows off their guitar love for older rock and metal bands of all kinds, has followed suit just this week.
