Prince's Royal Chart Presence Challenges Voice Revolution

While The Voice helped Keith Urban to number one, Prince made a grab for every other available chart position.

The Voice mentors staked out high placements in the ARIA Albums Chart this week, with Keith Urban debuting at number one with The Story So Far and Seal's Hits set reaching a new high of four.

But royal visitor Prince made his presence felt as strongly in our charts as he has made it felt in our stadiums and clubs over the past week.

Prince's The Hits/The B Sides collection rocketed from 28 to five in the physical chart while the Digital Album Chart saw him enter at 16 with The Very Best Of and 27 with Hits/B Sides, plus move from 43 to 24 with Ultimate. All three of those collections also landed in the Catalogue Album top 20.

In the Music DVD Chart, Prince moved to six with The Hits Collection, entered at 13 with Sign O' The Times and re-entered at 27 with Live At The Aladdin Las Vegas.

The other new entries in the Album Chart this week were: Not Your Kind Of People by Garbage (eight); Tin Shed Tales by John Butler (28); Trouble's Door by Ash Grunwald (29); Bloom by Beach House (40); Strangeland by Keane (49).

It was a slightly different story in the digital listings. Grunwald debuted at ten there with Beach House in at 15, Keane at 22, Butler at 23 and Kaiser Chiefs' Souvenir collection in at 45.
