The West Australian punks kick off their west-coast launch shows tonight, with the east's turn to follow

Ferocious West Australian punk outfit Scalphunter are following up a blistering 2014 — a year in which they continued to gain notoriety around the country, not least of all via making YouTube's shit list — with early tastes of the next chapter in their colourful career, and theMusic.com.au is stoked to be premiering the first of two A-side singles about to be released: Bleeding Out.

Bleeding Out, along with its companion track, was recorded at Electric City Studios with renowned desk-man Adam Round (Pond, Voyager, Timothy Nelson & The Infidels, Tame Impala and more) and comes ahead of an exciting time for the WA outfit as they prepare for a series of launch shows at home and across the coasts, as well as the impending release of their debut studio full-length later in the year. Before we get bogged down with details, though, do your ears a favour and hook in to the latest in high-quality Scalphunter wares below. The track is also available as a free download at Scalphunter's SoundCloud, so go forth and get yourself some free music!

The multiple WAMi award nominees will perform three launch shows in their home state, kicking off at the Prince Of Wales, in Bunbury (with BlackwitchThe Light The Dark and Crash Rat) tonight; they'll front up again to spread the love at Jimmy's Den, Perth (with PUCKRag N' BoneShit Narnia and more), on Friday, 13 March, and round out their West Australian commitments at The Railway Hotel in North Fremantle for a massive two-stage celebration, for which the full line-up is yet to be revealed but will go down on Sunday, 22 March.
