Paul Kelly, Tame Impala Lead 2019 ARIA Artisan Awards Nominations

A slew of Australian artists and creatives have been recognised today as part of the 2019 ARIA Awards Artisan and Fine Arts nominations announcement, with local legends Paul Kelly, Kevin Parker, Kate Ceberano and more making the list.

The Artisan and Fine Arts winners will be revealed during the newly-named ARIA Awards Season Launch on October 10 at the Art Gallery of NSW, during which the full list of this year’s nominees will be announced.

Paul Kelly is currently up for Producer Of The Year alongside Steven Schram for Nature and Best Classical Album alongside James Ledger for Thirteen Ways To Look At Birds, while Kevin Parker is nominated across both Producer Of The Year and Engineer Of The Year for Tame Impala’s Patience, vying for both against Konstantin Kersting, nominated for his work on Tones & I’s global hit Dance Monkey, and Julia Jacklin engineer/producer Burke Reid.

Kate Ceberano and Paul Grabowsky’s TRYST has been nominated for Best Jazz Album, while Gang Of YouthsMTV Unplugged (Live in Melbourne) is up for Best Original Soundtrack Or Musical Theatre Cast Album and Melbourne Ska Orchestra’s One Year Of Ska lands among the Best World Music Album nominees.

The ARIA Awards will take place at The Star in Sydney on November 27.
