More Parkway Drive More Parkway Drive

Parkway Drive host their own festival, Park Waves, in Germany, but soon enough, the event will be heading to Australia.

On Sunday (6 July), the Australian metalcore outfit and tour promoters Destroy All Lines shared a teaser video about the festival on social media and encouraged fans to follow the Park Waves festival pages.

“Parkway Drive are up to something 👀Get ready for the next wave… PARK WAVES IS COMING,” the caption for the post reads. The teaser video shows Parkway Drive performing in Australian venues and on Good Things and Knotfest Australia stages, with the text “COMING SOON” appearing on the clip.

To be the first to know, register for more information on the Park Waves website and follow its pages on social media. Check out the teaser below.

Parkway Drive debuted Park Waves in Dresden, Germany, last year. It was curated as a mini-festival featuring Parkway Drive as headliners, along with acts such as Dying Fetus, Fit For A King, Erra, and fellow Aussie outfits Thy Art Is Murder and Alpha Wolf.

The Park Waves teaser for Australian audiences follows Parkway Drive's recent achievement as the first metalcore band to headline the Sydney Opera House with a symphonic orchestra. The band have been busy—they’re currently in the US co-headlining the Summer Of Loud festival tour and continue their 20th anniversary run across Europe.

The Music’s Alasdair Belling described the Sydney Opera House show last month as a “total, unforgettable triumph,” following the news that Hellbound, the inaugural metal cruise heading to Australia next October, headlined by Parkway Drive, sold out in just seven minutes.

It’s fair to say that the love for Parkway Drive is real, especially in Australia, and whenever more news about Park Waves drops, we’ll all be ready for it.
