ONEFOUR will join forces with the Penrith Chamber Orchestra for a special production at The Joan’s Concert Hall in Penrith in early 2027.

From Friday, 22 to Saturday, 23 January, the unexpected pairing will take over the theatre space as part of next year’s Sydney Festival. For the shows, ONEFOUR will be accompanied by a 25-piece orchestra in a bold celebration of Western Sydney’s cultural force.

The world-premiere production, Made Men, is a show of contrasts. It pairs ONEFOUR’s hard-hitting drill music with classical composition as they reimagine their catalogue over two nights, delivering an unforgettable homecoming.

Local talent, contemporary culture, and orchestral ambition come together for the powerful event, welcoming two often-opposite musical communities. With Made Men, a distinctly Western Sydney story will have a major festival platform.

Tickets go on sale Thursday, 22 October, at 9 am AEDT. A press release notes that Sydney Festival’s $49 ticket initiative will also offer a limited number of prime seats—head to The Joan’s website for more details.

Penrith Performing & Visual Arts Chief Executive Officer and Artistic Director, Toby Chapman, said of the surprise collaboration, “Penrith is fast becoming one of the most in-demand destinations for cultural events.

“Earlier this year Lewers hosted the Biennale of Sydney for the first time, and now we are proud to announce a new partnership with Sydney Festival to present a world premiere right here at The Joan.

“Bringing together ONEFOUR and our own Penrith Chamber Orchestra is a celebration of the rich and diverse musical talent of our region: from contemporary rap to classical strings. This is a Western Sydney story, told in Western Sydney, for the people who live here.”

Last month, ONEFOUR made headlines after they united with Jimmy Barnes and Jessica Mauboy for triple j’s Like a Version, where they put their own spin on Phil Collins’ In the Air Tonight.

The group also postponed their upcoming regional tour, set to start in mid-September, to early 2027. In a statement, they cited unforeseen circumstances.

ONEFOUR are touring in support of their debut album, Look At Me Now, released last year. Following its release last June, the album debuted at #2 on the ARIA Albums Chart. At last year’s ARIA Awards, it was nominated for Best Hip-Hop Release, and for the 2025 J Awards, it was nominated for Australian Album of the Year.
