Tomorrowland is featuring some of the world’s youngest DJs in this year’s line-up, with 9-year-old DJ Archie taking the cake as the youngest ever to play at the festival.
Having played the opening set at the Atmosphere stage on Saturday, Archie recounted to DJ Mag: “When I DJed there, when I controlled the crowd, they were all dancing.”
He added, “ I played some classics like (M-Beat and General Levy’s) Incredible; they all liked that one.”
DJ Archie broke the Guinness World Record for the youngest DJ in the world in 2018 at the age of four. The then-preschool-aged Archie broke the record at Bungalow Club in Hong Kong, China, where he is reported to have played classic house music for over an hour.
Five years into his career, Archie is still stealing spots as the DJ game’s youngest, beating out last year’s youngest DJ at Tomorrowland, DJ Michelle, who was 11 years old when she played.
“I was shocked when I heard that I’ll finally go to Tomorrowland,” the British DJ said of his opening slot.
