Achtung, everybody

More Nils Frahm More Nils Frahm

Incendiary German composer and pianist Nils Frahm can’t get enough of Australia, with the renowned performer today announcing that he’ll be backing up his sold-out Aussie debut shows at Vivid LIVE earlier this year with a fresh run of shows around the country this October.

Slated to kick off at Brisbane’s Old Museum on Wednesday, October 8, Frahm’s tour sees him grace stages in Adelaide and twice in Melbourne (for the Melbourne Festival) before saying farewell in the same city he first said hello – Sydney – on Sunday, October 12.

Frahm won uniform acclaim for his Vivid LIVE performance, which followed on from the 2013 release of his lauded breakthrough live album Spaces, and has achieved the rare status of a musician whose praises are sung by everyone from fans of classical and jazz to internationally renowned artists such as Thom Yorke and Four Tet.

However, here’s hoping that his return journey Down Under goes off a little smoother than last time – the performer and his equipment were separated on the flight to Sydney.
