"Here at Lulie, we wanted to ensure we raise the bar in engagement with our punters and keep the music pumping well into the future," the venue owners explained.

Melbourne-based music venue Lulie Tavern is (sort of) following in the footsteps of fellow Victorian space, the Sooki Lounge, by encouraging its supporters to contribute to the venue.

Today, Lulie Tavern introduces the Lulie Lovers Members Club in an effort to return the love to punters and keep free live music blasting every week of the year.

By purchasing the $30 annual member fee, punters will receive an invitation to four member parties a year, where the food, drinks, and music will be on the Lulie Tavern crew.

They’ll also enter a weekly jackpot draw and receive members’ mailing list offers, such as LuliePalooza festival tickets, giveaways, and more. And, what’s a membership without a physical trinket? As part of the Lulie Lovers Members Club, members will receive a special Lulie Lovers Keychain.

You can register for the Members Club on the Lulie Tavern website or in person at the venue.

Acknowledging that small businesses nationwide are in a “state of flux,” Lulie Tavern owners stated that rising costs are severely impacting small to medium-sized music venues.

They added, “Small to medium venues that foster a live music culture are an immensely important part of the scene - helping to build artist profiles and fans alike.

“To forge ahead against these challenges, here at Lulie, we wanted to ensure we raise the bar in engagement with our punters and keep the music pumping well into the future,” the venue owners explained.

“Lulie has remained committed and inspired to continue to build their community of live music and food and beverage lovers in an all accessible, everyone is welcome, big warm hug environment. The party never stops, and the good times must keep on rolling!”

Lulie Tavern opened a decade ago and has provided Melburnians with a new home for rock and roll, as well as friendly and hospitable staff.

In November, the venue hosted the fourth edition of its own festival, LuliePalooza, and locked in international headliners Starcrawler to perform alongside Aussie outfits Cash Savage & The Last Drinks, The Gooch Palms, Eagle & The Worm, Hana & Jessie Lee's Bad Habits, Battlesnake, and much more.
