Happening this weekend!

More streamed performances have been confirmed for this weekend’s massive Music From The Home Front event.

Earlier this month it was announced that the ANZAC Day Eve concert, which was conceptualised by the late Michael Gudinski in 2020, would be returning this year, taking place at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl and featuring Amy Shark, Lime Cordiale, Tash Sultana, The Rubens and more at the venue alongside streamed performances.

Today it’s been revealed that Abby Dobson, Augie March, Crowded House, Delta Goodrem, Kate Ceberano, Mark Seymour, Morgan Evans, Nikka Costa and The Australian Children's Choir join previously confirmed streamed performances from the likes of Jimmy Barnes, Gordi, Tina Arena, The Kid Laroi and more.

It’s also been announced that David Campbell OAM, Brooke Boney and Kate Gudinski will host the event.

“With Crowded House recently reunited and playing live in NZ it was a pleasure to be able to perform for Music From The Home Front again, this time all in the same room,” Neil Finn said.

“We remember those who went before, who first summoned the ANZAC spirit, as it moves to a new level with free travel once more between our shores, hopeful signs ... We also remember the originator of this gathering the late great Michael Gudinski.”

Ceberano added: “In true Michael Gudinski, ‘Don’t wait for the dust to settle, strike a chord that will change the world’ kinda attitude, he busted outta the COVID claustrophobia with Music From The Home Front last year and put Australian music right back, front and centre!

“It was exciting to be on the first wave and now catching the next set! So grateful for his vision and support.”

The huge live music event will “commemorate and pay tribute to our nations’ rich ANZAC history” and be broadcast via Channel 9, 9Now and YouTube from 7:30pm AEST on April 24.

Last year's event saw performances from Jimmy Barnes, Kevin Parker, Dean Lewis, Tim Minchin, Courtney Barnett, Paul Kelly, Missy Higgins and more, with its resulting soundtrack release dominating the ARIA charts.
