With eleven years under their belts it seems about time Indiana's Murder By Death should land on our shores. And what better time? In the past two years, they've released the critically lauded "Good Morning, Magpie" on the venerable Vagrant Records, added Scott Brackett from Okkervil River to their lineup and had a song featured in a trailer for Quentin Tarantino's 'Inglorious Basterds'. And all this from a band who would initially seem to have the odds against them. Straddling the delicate border of Punk and Country without indulging in the cliches of either genre and featuring an electric cello amongst more traditional rock instrumentation, it stands tribute to the genius of both Adam Turla's songwriting and their collective arrangements that it all comes off without a hitch. As though this wasn't enough, Perth's revered Eleventh He Reaches London will be accompanying Murder By Death on the entire tour. With their devastating 2009 opus "Hollow Be My Name" still strong in the collective conscience, the chance to see them live in any capacity is a rare one and we're ecstatic to have them bring their uniquely Australian post-hardcore stylings along on this monumental tour.

"If you've never witnessed a show from MBD, this is one not to miss; the band paints a lush dark picture of the whiskey-soaked underbelly of American back roads. If Johnny Cash had spent some time collaborating with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, the result may have been something like this."
