Mumford & Sons Announce 2026 Australian Tour Dates

Fresh from a whirlwind visit to Sydney earlier this year, English folk veterans Mumford & Sons will be making a grand return to Australia and New Zealand in 2026.

Announcing their latest visit to the country this morning, Mumford & Sons will launch a two-date tour of Australia in April of next year, playing some of their largest local shows so far with performances at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena on April 25th, and Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena on April 29th.

The group will then head east for their first New Zealand dates since 2019, with a show at Auckland's Spark Arena scheduled for May 2nd.

These shows make up the group’s first headline tour of Australia since 2019 as well. They returned in 2023 for a one-off appearance as headliners for the final night of Splendour In The Grass’ 2023 edition, and visited again earlier in 2025, playing an exclusive show at the Sydney Opera House as part of an international run of one-off dates in support of their Rushmere album.

Having released Rushmere back in March as their first album in seven years, it appears Mumford & Sons are in the midst of a creative purple patch, with their sixth album – Prizefighter – scheduled to arrive on February 13th. Pre-orders for the record are already available now.

Joining Mumford & Sons on their Australian tour is Melbourne's Folk Bitch Trio, who have themselves had a stellar year.

Releasing their Now Would Be A Good Time debut back in July, the group found themselves nominated for four ARIA Awards, the Australian Music Prize, and two J Awards, including Australian Album Of The Year and Unearthed Artist Of The Year, winning the latter.

Tickets to Mumford & Sons’ upcoming 2026 tour dates go on sale from 11am local time on Friday, December 5th. Mastercard, Vodafone, and artist pre-sales launch at 10am local time on Wednesday, December 3rd and run for 48 hours, while Live Nation and Secret Sounds pre-sales launch at 10am local time on Thursday, December 4th and run for 24 hours.
