An Adelaide Hotel that hosts occasional live music is reeling after two Molotov cocktails were hurled at the venue earlier this week.
Port Adelaide's The Glanville Hotel was attacked early Monday morning, with police reporting that staff were cleaning at around 1.30am when they heard a bang from outside.
“Two Molotov cocktails had been thrown at the front window, sparking a small fire against a brick wall,” South Australian Police reported. “Staff acted quickly and extinguished the fire with a bucket of water.”
The flaming projectiles did not enter the building and no-one was hurt, but the owners have taken to social media to condemn the attacks.

“Thankfully the damage is minimal and it's time for us to move on and not let these nitwits get to us,” they posted earlier today.
They'd previously written, “We would like to thank the idiot that tried to throw two Molotov cocktails through the bar window. Whoever you are (I am sure you will read this post) just make notice… YOU WOULD BE UP FOR MURDER.
“There are people who live upstairs who probably would not make it out in time. We are just guys trying to have a go. If you don't like us, don't drink there!”
Local band The Bluff had played at the venue for their regular Sunday afternoon set over the weekend and the venue have indicated that live music will feature in their 'Xmas In July' event.
