Children's cartoon hero Dora The Explorer is all grown up and has scored herself a feature film and it appears that it'll be former triple j host and comedian Matt Okine who will be responsible for educating the backpack adventurer.

Dubbed Dora & The Lost City Of Gold, the film sees Dora leave the jungle to attend high school. Okine's credited as 'Science Teacher' and can be seen briefly in the film's trailer which dropped yesterday, around the 1.20 mark.

Okine himself has taken to social media to confirm the news, saying "To everyone (noone) that is asking: YES THAT IS ME IN THE DORA THE EXPLORER TRAILER. I was originally hired as Boots the Monkey's fulltime delouser, and did such a good job the director chucked me a role as a reward."

Check out the full post below. The film, which stars Isabela Moner, Michael Peña, Eva Longoria, and Danny Trejo, is out this August.
