It’s finally time! As you may have heard, we’ve been busy working with our music-loving mates at Mountain Goat this year to spotlight the best up-and-coming artists through our Underground Playlists. Within that, we launched a competition to find the cream of the crop and give the winner a load of prizes that will help them get a little bit closer to their music dreams.
Today, we crown our champ, so without further ado, please congratulate the winner of the 2023 Underground Hidden Gems Competition: Full Flower Moon Band!
Full Flower Moon Band have won $10,000 to put towards their music dreams, the chance to join a league of music legends in being featured as The Music’s Cover Artist, and their own custom beer can design, thanks to the legends at Mountain Goat.
Commenting on their win, Kate ‘Babyshakes’ Dillon, lead singer/guitarist and founder of Full Flower Moon Band, said, “Hey everyone, Full Flower Moon Band team, we did it! There are a lot of people to thank for getting us over the line (the competition was fierce). Thank you to our mothers, local communities, friends, old fans, new fans, strangers at parties etc. What a thrill to win! The 10k prize money is going directly into making our next album. We could use it to buy billboards in major cities… but an album is probably more of a priority. Mountain Goat Beer and The Music, we can’t thank you enough for putting this competition on and giving artists like us the chance to win cash and exposure.”
