Is Lorde Preparing An Australian Tour Announcement?

Lorde is set to announce her highly anticipated Australian tour tomorrow (11 July), Frontier Touring teased on social media this morning.
Over the last few days, posters related to the New Zealand singer-songwriter’s latest album, Virgin, and the Ultrasound World Tour have appeared in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth. Frontier Touring joined the teasing yesterday, sharing Instagram Stories featuring the posters in Melbourne and Sydney, with the former saying, “What was that?”

This morning, Frontier ramped up the teasing by sharing a slow-motion video zooming in on the Ultrasound poster above the Melbourne pub, Young And Jackson. The post is captioned “Tomorrow” and features a link to sign up for updates for Lorde’s upcoming Australian tour.

In May, Lorde announced the first round of dates for her Ultrasound World Tour in the US, the UK, and Europe. The tour begins in Austin, Texas, this September and wraps up in December. For those tour dates, she’ll be joined by a rotating roster of special guests including Blood Orange, The Japanese House, Nilüfer Yanya, Chanel Beads, Empress Of, Jim-E Stack, and Oklou.
Last month, Lorde caught up with The Music ahead of the release of her latest album, Virgin, and hinted that Australian and New Zealand dates would be announced.
Lorde responded to the question of whether there would be good tour news for her Australian and New Zealand fans and said, “No news coming soon.”
However, she followed up her answer with: “I have never not toured Australia and New Zealand, so hopefully, people can click that all together.”
Unless Lorde makes a quick stop Down Under before the rest of her World Tour begins, it’s more likely that we’ll see her in Australia and New Zealand in 2026. Sign up for updates via Frontier Touring.
Lorde last toured Australia in March 2023, in support of her 2021 album Solar Power. That tour marked her first shows Down Under in six years.
