"To raise almost $65,000 shows the incredible generosity of the Hot Dub community."
After his stellar performance last weekend streaming a set of upbeat tunes for fans across the globe, Hot Dub Time Machine has announced that the fundraising effort yielded a tremendous result.
The producer and DJ, also known Tom Lowndes, revealed that the funds raised throughout the performance exceed $60,000 - all of which will be donated directly to mental health support organisation Lifeline.
The livestream event kicked off the 2021 Mental Health Month, with Lowndes spinning tunes for I Feel Good! - the one-off and final iteration of his regular Hot Dub At Home series (raising $63,814 in the process).
“I’m really thrilled to have raised so much money for Lifeline," Lowndes said of the effort. "It’s a fitting finale to the Hot Dub At Home streams which have done so much for my own mental health and for a huge amount of locked down Australians over the past 18 months. We had over 8,000 unique viewers during the two hour stream, so to raise almost $65,000 shows the incredible generosity of the Hot Dub community."
