Chantelle Klasema died last month
Melbourne hardcore heavyweights High Tension and Clowns have banded together with a handful of other acts to celebrate the life of local muso Chantelle "Chanty" Klasema, who died last month after a tragic fall from a Collingwood balcony.
The bands are aiming to raise money for Klasema's family and her friend Todd Forbes, the latter of whom fell from the balcony with her and is recovering both physically and emotionally.
In a Facebook event, organisers write, "Chantelle Klasema was a big personality and heavily involved in the Melbourne music scene … Some of Chantys favourite bands have come together to raise money to ease the financial burdens that this tragedy has caused."
The special gig will be held at Collingwood's Bendigo Hotel on 22 November from 6pm, with sets from High Tension, Clowns, Grim Rhythm, Elusive Haze and Charging Stallion, as well as a fundraising compilation available for purchase called Avin' A Toime.
