The legendary singer hasn't performed live since 2002

Iconic Australian performer Helen Reddy has announced her return to live performing, almost twelve years since she announced her retirement from the industry.

The Grammy-award winning (and first Aussie to do so) artist will perform a run of theatre shows next April, visiting the east coast and Perth. Tickets go on sale Tuesday 8 October. You can find all the information in theGuide below.

At the peak of her career, Reddy was considered the 'Queen Of '70s Pop' on the back of the success of singles I Am Woman, Angie Baby and Delta Dawn. She was also the first Australian to have three number one songs in the US in the one year.

Back in March, Reddy opened up about her decision to return to the live stage, with an impromtu performance at her sister's birthday sparking the idea for a comeback.
