The best German metal band that isn't Caliban, the ever consistent Heaven Shall Burn, have marked their return in 2016 with their new album, 'Wanderer'.
The album was first announced back in July when the band unleashed the album's six-minute crusher, 'Downshifter'. But before the release of 'Wanderer' on September 16th via Century Media Records, the band have been generous and released a new song; 'Bring The War Home'.
As you can imagine, it's fucking dope.
Sure, this track really is just another Heaven Shall Burn song, from Maik Weichert's & Alexander Dietz's riffs, the melodies used, the blistering drumming, the general song structure, and Marcus Bischoff's vicious vocal delivery; it's HSB through and through! But as said above, these guys are just so consistent that I don't mind at all. Also, I think this track has easily the most intense, distorted bass I've heard in one of their songs!
The band's last album was 2013's 'Veto', and you know, earlier this year I was thinking to myself that were getting overdue for a new Heaven Shall Burn record. Good to know that that'll come to fruition in a couple of weeks. Check out 'Bring The War Home' below.
