The Preatures ProfileVenerated Aussie alt-rock/indie-pop luminaries The Preatures have conscripted fellow Sydneysiders and ascendant musicians Carl Fox and Jesse Sewell — aka Porsches — to remix their lauded single Is This How You Feel? in celebration of the UK release of their debut full-length album, Planet Blue Eyes.
The original version of the track had mountains of praise heaped upon it in its own right, not only taking out the highly prized Vanda & Young Songwriting competition, but entering the 2014 triple j Hottest 100 Top 10 (#9) and acting as a catalyst to high-profile festival spots at Coachella and Glastonbury, as well as late-night US TV such as Jimmy Kimmel Live.
No less enjoying the spotlight are recent Sweat It Out! signees Porsches, who have been demonstrating their sonic Midas touch through tracks such as the widely snapped-up Horses, which itself has a forthcoming remix in the pipeline as well as a new music video.
Until then, though, Is This How You Feel? (Porsches Remix) marks only the second release from the ascendant duo, but it's clear they've taken time and care with it to deliver an evocative, engaging interpretation on The Preatures' beloved hit song.
