When skateboarding legend Tony Hawk announced a special limited run of skate decks painted with some of his own blood, fans were quick to notice a similarity to another piece of merch from recent times.
Rapper Lil Nas X - who became an overnight success with Old Town Road - reminded the world that he recently released his own line of blood-infused sneakers, only to be met with widespread criticism from naysayers.
In a tweet posted on 26 August, the rapper stated: "Now that Tony Hawk has released skateboards with his blood painted on them, and there was no public outrage, are y’all ready to admit y’all were never actually upset over the blood in the shoes? and maybe u were mad for some other reason?"

While the statement itself was not directed at Hawk or his merchandise, fans were worried about a feud kicking off. Luckily, the two made quick work of that, releasing a very silly collab video featuring Lil Nas X definitely skateboarding and pulling off some very impressive tricks.
