More Gang Of Youths More Gang Of Youths

The new Gang Of Youths album is in the works and looking likely to have an unexpected guest on it...

As part of his No Brakes YouTube series, Australian Formula 1 driver Daniel Ricciardo has shared a clip of himself in the studio with the much-loved Sydney group (who are now based in the UK).

While Ricciardo himself admits that he's not necessarily the most musically inclined, he's still managed to pick up a small guest appearance on the album with the band inviting him to join in briefly on drums and backing vocals.

"We're going to get a credit on the new album apparently," laughs Ricciardo.

Check it out below.

While there's no release date announced yet, Gang Of Youths have shared that they "are working hard on the record", which is the follow-up to 2017's multi ARIA Award winning Go Farther In Lightness

"We have spent this raging bin-fire of a year getting our shit together and recording our third album," read a newsletter from bass player Max Dunn a few weeks back.

"In fact we recently got a lease for a space like a real life actually functioning business where we can work and finish the damn thing."

The band have also officially announced Tom Hobden (Noah & The Whale, Mumford & Sons touring member, and more) as their new addition, following the departure of founding member Joji Malani late last year.
