More G Flip More G Flip

Last month, Aussie hitmaker G Flip announced an intimate one-off show at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory to raise money for Support Act.

During the show, the singer and multi-instrumentalist shared some news: their wife, Chrishell Stause, will be a new character in Neighbours.

In footage captured by The Music and posted to social media, G Flip said, “My beautiful wife Chrishell’s birthday is next Saturday. Oh, she just landed in Australia because she’s filming Neighbours.”

Naming Stause’s character – Yasmin Shields – they continued, “She’s a lighting tech, which is… whoever wrote that script, crazy job to give Chrishell as a lighting tech. Like, the hottest lighting tech I’ve ever seen in my whole life.”

G Flip then announced their next song – a song about “me and Chrishell’s situation when we started dating and, I don’t know, there was cute vibes there and I was like, ‘Oh, I like you way too much. I just want to Be Your Man.’”

Stause joins Delta Goodrem, Kylie Minogue, Natalie Bassingthwaite, and Holly Valance as recognisable talents who have featured on Neighbours. Stause, an American actress, starred in the soap opera All My Children from 2005 until 2011 before appearing on Days Of Our Lives. She is now best known for starring in the Netflix reality series Selling Sunset.

G Flip and Chrishell Stause got married last May after they’d been dating for a year.

In 2022, Stause confirmed that she was in a relationship with the Aussie musician. She said on a Selling Sunsets reunion episode: "I recently have been spending a lot of time with someone that's very important to me. Their name is G Flip. They're non-binary, so they go by they/them. They are an extremely talented musician.”

Stause added, "It started because I was just going to be in their video [for Get Me Outta Here]. And it's about this chaotic love story. I come from soaps; I love acting. And with the job that we have, I don't always get to do it. At first, of course, I was like yes, let's do that."

After sharing their wedding news, she said, “Love doesn't always go as planned… Sometimes it's immeasurably better.”

Since the release of their second album, DRUMMER, G Flip has racked up a sprawling list of achievements, such as a The Music cover story, huge wins at the ARIAs and J Awards, collaborations with legends like Delta Goodrem and Mike Shinoda, and a shoutout from none other than Taylor Swift (and her own adoring fans).
