Tickets on sale from next week
Venerated US rap upstart G-Eazy will make his return to Australian shores in March next year when he brings his When It's Dark Out world tour — titled for his impending second album of the same name — Down Under for a four-date run of shows around the country.
G-Eazy, better known to the tax man as Gerald Earl Gillum, will commence his southern sojourn in Melbourne, at Max Watt's House Of Music, on Tuesday 1 March, making his way up to Sydney (Metro Theatre, 3 March) and Brisbane (The Met, 4 March) before making the jaunt across to Perth, where he concludes the Aussie leg of his world tour at Villa Nightclub on Saturday 5 March.
The venture will come hot on the heels of When It's Dark Out, which won't actually see release until 4 December, though early previews such as lead single Me, Myself & I (with Bebe Rexha) and follow-up cut Random doing much to stir up hype around the album ahead of its unveiling. Add to that his time spent gallivanting across festival and standalone stages all over the world with his wildly successful From The Bay To The Universe tour and an exponentially increasing portfolio of praise from critics and fans, and it's not unreasonable to expect that G-Eazy will treat local audiences to a show of the highest standard when he makes his way to town.
Telstra customers will have first run at tickets via Telstra Thanks' 48-hour pre-sale, running from 9am tomorrow, 12 November, through 9am Saturday 14 November. General-release tickets will be up for sale from 10am on Monday 16 November via Live Nation.
