Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs are the first band announced for this year's Field Day, and promoters Fuzzy also announced the return of fellow Sydney event Harbourlife.

With TEED's Sydney show sold out, he is the first name added to the 25,000 capacity festival which takes place at Sydney's The Domain Tuesday 1 January.

The full line-up and ticketing details will be released "soon".

The other announcement from the Fuzzy camp this afternoon is that Harbourlife will return in 2012, taking to Mrs Macquarie's Point Saturday 1 December.

Fuzzy's Director John Wall said that the event would return to its "musical roots", which is, "House music all day long."

He added, "With the renaissance of quality house and deep house music over the last couple of years, there's a wealth of music that's perfectly suited to a not-too-huge outdoor party in such a feel-good location."

Further details will also be announced "soon".
