Music students, their teachers and music education professionals in high school, TAFE and university settings could win up to 40 tickets for their class (minimum of five) to see Paul McCartney on the Gold Coast, thanks to a new competition hosted by Frontier Touring.
All anyone currently undertaking a music class or attending a music school must do is record themselves taking on a cover of their favourite Paul McCartney song (recording on your phone is fine), upload the video to social media using the hashtag #GotBackToSchool and tag @frontiertouring. From there, you need to submit this online form.
Entrants and potential attendees must be 15 years and over – you can view the entire Terms & Conditions here and note that travel and accommodation costs for winners to get to the Gold Coast won’t be covered. Only Australian educational facilities will be approved entrants. Entries open on Wednesday, 20 September, at 10 am AEST and close at 10 am AEDT on Monday, 9 October.
Whoever wins this competition will score an exclusive group photo opportunity with Paul McCartney, attend his soundcheck, and win tickets to his Gold Coast performance held on Saturday, 4 November, at Heritage Bank Stadium.
Entrants will be judged by a panel of Australian music industry experts, including ARIA CEO Annabelle Herd; Michael Chugg, the Founder of Chugg Entertainment; CMCO at Frontier Touring Reegan Stark, COO at Frontier Touring Susan Heymann, and Sean Warner, the President and CEO of Universal Music ANZ.
Paul McCartney returns to Australia for the first time since 2017 this October and November.
