Foo FightersJust weeks after the Foo Fighters wrapped up a one-off show in Launceston, tour promoters Frontier Touring have announced a wide scale return for the alternative rock veterans.
The Take Cover Tour will see the American rockers returning to our shores in November, performing six dates across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia.
Interestingly, they'll return home after that before heading back down south in January, performing two dates in New Zealand, and wrapping it all up by making a stop over in Perth.
"Yo! I told you we'd be back!" frontman Dave Grohl wrote in a message to fans shared online. "Can't wait."
A Telstra Plus member presale runs 48 hours from Friday, February 20th, and a Frontier Members presale will run 24 hours from Monday, February 23rd. Meanwhile, general tickets go on sale from Wednesday, February 25th. All sale dates are staggered for each show to cope with demand, will full details available view the Frontier website.
During their exclusive performance at Launceston’s UTAS Stadium last month (January 24th), where the band were joined by special guests Full Flower Moon Band and Spooky Eyes, Grohl hinted at more Foo Fighters shows Down Under.

“This won’t be the last time you see us,” Grohl told rapturous fans who filled up the stadium. “We’ll be back here sooner than you think… and it’s before my next birthday.”
Indeed, this return will be before Grohl's 58th birthday on January 14th, and in true fashion, the Foo Fighters have curated an exceptional list of local support acts.
Full Flower Moon Band will again saddle up to support, this time in Brisbane and Townsville, with Mini Skirt and Downgirl joining for each respective show. The Belair Lip Bombs will jump on the bill for Sydney and Melbourne, while TEENS and FRENZEE will also round out those respective line-ups.
In Newcastle, it's The Buoys and C.O.F.F.I.N, Adelaide is Kurralta Park and Spooky Eyes, while their 2027 return to Perth will see the Southern River Band and Last Quokka stepping up for the role.
In addition to previously teasing more shows, Grohl also informed fans that Foo Fighters had completed work on their twelfth album, the follow-up to 2023’s But Here We Are and the first to feature new drummer Ilan Rubin.
“We might have a whole new record of fucking songs that we just finished the other day,” he said.
