Two independent labels come out on top in Aus
Flume's self-titled record was the highest selling Australian album of 2013, and Vance Joy's Riptide the top single according to the end of year figures released overnight by ARIA.
Collating the year's top selling albums, singles and – for the first time – streaming tracks, P!nk's The Truth About Love was the top selling album overall, Katy Perry's Roar the top single and Lorde's Royals the top streaming track.

In both the album and single rankings, the top selling Australian releases were released by independent labels – Flume through Future Classic and Riptide through Liberation.
Flume's album was the 11th most sold of the year overall, while he also featured in the singles and streaming charts with tracks like Holdin On (seventh best selling Australian single, top local streaming), Insane and Sleepless.
In the albums chart the Christmas-targeted albums by The 12th Man and Human Nature were in the local top three, despite never hitting the top spot on the ARIA Charts. The lowest chart peak in the top ten local albums was Russell Morris' remarkable Sharkmouth album, which had a steady sales run into the top ten after being picked up by ABC local and community radio – months after it has been released. The album garnered him an ARIA Award as well.
Other appearances were from Bliss N Eso's Circus Is The Sky and Troy Cassar-Daley & Adam Harvey's fantastic The Great Country Songbook, which had a year of controversy by first being awarded a #1 chart debut, only to be stripped of it and replaced by Kanye West two days later. It was also in the centre of the recent country music dispute.
In total, 27 Australian albums made the top 100 selling albums of the year - equal from 2012.
There wasn't an Australian song in the top ten selling singles of the year either, with the highly-touted Vance Joy picking up the honour of the top selling local single with Riptide at 12th overall. The top three were all – at one time or another – triple j-groomed artists, with Birds Of Tokyo's Lanterns and Matt Corby's Resolution.
Brisbane's Sheppard missed out on the top ten local releases with their Sheppard EP, which was the 87th highest selling in the overall chart, 12th on the Australian-only ranking.
In total, 13 Australian releases made the top 100 singles chart - two more than 2012.
The streaming charts was topped by New Zealander Lorde, who appears across the three charts, with Flume's Holdin On in the top ten – he has four other tracks in the top 100.
Sia also appears twice thanks to her collaborations with David Guetta, where she wrote songs for and provided vocals for some of the EDM superstar's biggest hits.
