More Floodlights More Floodlights

Melbourne outfit Floodlights have today released their debut album, From A View

Almost a year after signing with Spunk Records - who boast a roster that includes Mac DeMarco and Bill Callahan - the four-piece have delivered the record engineered and mixed by Nao Anzai (Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Cash Savage) and mastered by Mikey Young (Total Control, Eddie Current Suppression Ring).

"The moment I heard the demos for this record I knew there was something special about it," founder and Label Head of Spunk Records, Aaron Curnow told The Music.

"Not only is it quintessentially Australian, but most importantly there is passion in the songwriting and in the playing."

Floodlights said they are "stoked" to be releasing the album with Spunk.

"Aaron is a great person who we all love to hang out and surf with when we get the chance," Floodlights said.

"His easy going nature has made him good to work with and he’s been really supportive.

"It’s nice to be a part of the Spunk family and be alongside a bunch of great artists."
