Frank Ocean ProfileFans who stumbled upon the website Frank Vault were in for a shock upon seeing the album title, Frank’s Diary, the supposed long-awaited third album from the enigmatic American rapper Frank Ocean.
The website notes a release date of at some point in 2026 and teases the follow-up to 2016’s critically acclaimed album, Blonde. The summary reads:
After 9 years, the highly anticipated R&B album by Frank Ocean is set to drop on xx/xx/2026 — but now, for a limited time, you can download it before everyone else.
However, as The Needle Drop reports, it’s a hoax. With a 17-song tracklist and options to download the album as a digital download, vinyl, CD and t-shirt bundle, hoodie, and keychain, fans would have likely hoped that Frank’s Diary was real.
The Needle Drop described the ingenious tactic of posting about a fake Frank Ocean album online as a “bust” and saved the tracklist, which supposedly featured huge names such as Beyoncé, Childish Gambino, SZA, Playboi Carti, and the one and only Paul McCartney on a track called GONE FRVR.

Last month, Frank Ocean did surprise fans when his beloved debut album, Channel Orange, was finally released on vinyl.
Channel Orange is now available to purchase on vinyl from Ocean’s ‘Blonded’ online store. The album has been released as a gatefold 2xLP edition and features alternative cover art. Fans can buy the vinyl for $69 plus shipping.
Following the release of Channel Orange, Ocean returned with the independently released record Blonde (and its accompanying visual album, Endless), with Endless fulfilling contract obligations with his former label, Def Jam.
Since 2017, he’s released just a couple of new singles, including DHL and In My Room. In 2023, he shared the tracks Cayendo and Dear April, which were previously vinyl exclusives, on streaming services.
