'It allows us to offer a more robust level of service to our artists.'
After just three months of being in business, Melbourne-based label Hysterical Records has today announced it has inked a worldwide distribution deal with North Carolina music company, Redeye.
The news is a massive coup for the label, started by Amanda Vitartas of music agency Future Popes, as well as Grace Kindellan and Jenny Mckechnie of Victorian bands, Wet Lips and Cable Ties, following the signing of their first artist, Shrimpwitch.
Redeye Australian rep, Antonio Foxlee, said of the news, "We're excited to be working with Hysterical Records, they're extremely passionate about the artists they're working with and we believe they are world class.
"Everyone at Redeye is stoked we'll be playing our part to deliver their music to a global audience."

Vitartas added, "We're incredibly lucky to have the support of Redeye internationally, as we grow.
"They work with a lot of labels we've admired for a long time and we feel very privileged to be joining such an incredible group of like-minded labels being distributed by the company and it allows us to offer a more robust level of service to our artists.
"I've worked with Antonio on a number of different projects in the past and I know his passion for the artists we represent is a great fit for the label. The international Redeye team are also very enthusiastic about our upcoming releases which makes us thrilled about the future."
The first release under the new deal will be Wet Lips’ self-titled debut LP out 30 June.
