Empire Of The Sun, Holy Holy, Spacey Jane, Kee'ahn To Drop Exclusives For Record Store Day Australia

Record Store Day returns for another day of musical excitement on Saturday, 18 April.

Music lovers’ favourite day of the year, Record Store Day, returns this April—and there are plenty of exclusives to excite vinyl collectors.

Today, the Record Store Day Australia team has unveiled the massive first batch of local RSD artists. From Empire Of The Sun releasing WALKING ON A DREAM – EXPANDED EDITION to Holy Holy commemorating their fans upon entering an indefinite hiatus last year and releasing the vinyl debut of Sweet Bitter Sweet, there’s something for everyone.

Other local exclusives include Kee’ahn’s for me, for you x on vinyl, Crooked Colours with a purple splash edition of Vera, a blue vinyl release of Kutcha Edwards with the Melbourne Youth Orchestra’s Warta-Kiki, Spacey Jane’s Live At The Hordern Pavilion released on limited edition coke bottle green-coloured vinyl, a live compilation from NSW record store Hiss & Crackle, and more.

Record Store Day returns on Saturday, 18 April. The world’s largest celebration of independent music stores, RSD features exclusive releases, performances, and pop-up events each year in stores across the country.

More Australian releases will be announced soon. Previous homegrown RSD exclusives include releases from Ninajirachi, You Am I, Pond, The Grogans, Ella Thompson, Ocean Alley, Underground Lovers, Montaigne, Tasman Keith, Confidence Man, Peking Duk and Darren Hayes collaboration, The Wiggles, Bluey and more.

In terms of international Record Store Day exclusives, there’s plenty to look forward to. Artists including Annie Lennox, Brandi Carlile, Bring Me The Horizon, Bruce Springsteen, CMAT, Danny Elfman, Ethel Cain, Fear Factory, George Harrison, Jeff Buckley, Judas Priest, Olivia Dean, Paramore, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, The Cure, and many others are participating in the big day, unveiling RSD exclusives in support of independent record stores.
