Listen to Ed Sheeran's star-studded tribute to Michael Gudinski now!
Ed Sheeran has announced his highly anticipated new album, Equals (styled as =), and among its tracklisting is a tribute to the late Michael Gudinski, who passed away in March.
Sheeran, who has frequently referred to the Aussie music legend as a mentor and friend over the years, wrote the new song, Visiting Hours, during his hotel quarantine stint after travelling to Australia in March for Gudinski’s memorial.
It was also one of three songs he performed during the memorial and featured Kylie Minogue, who guests on the recorded album version alongside Jimmy Barnes, both of who provide backing vocals.
Set for release on October 29, Equals is the fourth instalment in Sheeran’s symbol album series.
He described it as “a really personal record and one that means a lot to me”.

“My life changed greatly over the past few years – I got married, became a father, experienced loss, and I reflect on these topics over the course of the album,” Sheeran said.
“I see it as my coming-of-age record, and I can’t wait to share this next chapter with you.”
The album also features previous single Bad Habits.
Equals follows on from 2017’s Divide, which saw Sheeran embark on a record-breaking Aussie tour, promoted by Gudinski, and dominate the ARIA charts.
