It's available for three nights only.

More David Bowie More David Bowie

In honour of what would have been David Bowie’s 74th birthday, as well as the five-year anniversary of his death, the London production of his musical Lazarus is being streamed online this 8-10 Jan.

Michael C Hall of Dexter and Six Feet Under stars in the musical, fronting a seven-piece live band and performing a mix of tracks from Bowie’s songbook and new songs written for the show, while the story was inspired by The Man Who Fell To Earth and was co-written with acclaimed playwright Enda Walsh. As pointed out by his son, director Duncan Jones, it was also among the final projects Bowie worked on before passing in 2016.

Lazarus opened at the New York Theatre Workshop in 2015 before moving to King's Cross Theatre in London, selling out both runs and collecting rave reviews.

The Music's Daniel Cribb attended Lazarus at New York Theatre Workshop in December 2015, noting that "the two-hour performance grappled at what makes us human, with its heartbreaking take on love, loss, obsession and death" and that Bowie "saved his best work until the end".
