Crowbar Is 'In Talks' With Patron Who Damaged Band Room Wall After 24-Hour Grace Period

"We ... are working towards fixing the damages with him."

Crowbar has thanked the community for its groundswell of support after a patron put a hole in their band room wall at the weekend, advising that they have since made contact with the person responsible.

Having given the offender 24 hours to come forward before they would take any further action, the venue has advised that the situation is now on the way to being resolved.

"Hey guys we just want to say a huge thanks to everyone for the overwhelming support," Crowbar's reps followed up on their initial post. "We are in talks with the guy in question and are working towards fixing the damages with him."

The damage to the wall had occurred during Saturday night's event featuring Rockhampton outfit Pandamic as headliners; the responsible party had apparently been provided entry to the band room by "someone with access" before putting a hole in the wall and taking a piece as a souvenir.

Upon finding out about the incident, the band issued a statement of their own, saying, "Damaging venues is NOT something that should be taken lightly, and definitely isn't what we're about," and urging the person responsible to come forward.

Glad as we are that this has had as positive an outcome as could be expected, the simple truth of the matter is that this all could have been so easily avoided. To directly crib Pandamic's sentiments: just simply show some respect for the venues where these shows are held, and the people who make them possible.
