One festivalgoer had taken up to nine ecstasy pills throughout the day.
Details surrounding recent festival overdose deaths have been revealed today in the NSW Coroners Court.
As The Sydney Morning Herald reports, an inquest into the five recent deaths revealed that one festivalgoer had taken up to nine ecstasy pills throughout the day, while another consumed alcohol and took MDMA.
Two more festival attendees who died under similar circumstances in previous years may also be added to the inquest.
Counsel assisting the Coroner, Peggy Dwyer, said the inquest would also look into the availability of water, food, shade, rest areas, medical services and more at events.
“There may or may not be recommendations that follow but, if there are, they will be based on the objective evidence, heard in open court, and subject to scrutiny,” Dwyer said.
Police investigating the recent festival deaths have been ordered to serve briefs within a month before another directions hearing by the Coroners Court in Lidcombe.

Today’s hearing follows a pill testing rally in Sydney over the weekend, an MP admitting they had taken MDMA in the past and experts, organisers and more pushing for pill test services at festival.
The inquest is expected to commence in the first half of 2019.
