Men At Work icon and solo artist Colin Hay is coming home for two special shows this December, today announcing concerts in Melbourne and Sydney.
Hay will showcase a “musical masterclass in storytelling” at the shows, where he’ll perform a selection of tracks from his incredible career.
On Friday, 4 July, Hay will release his new solo album, Man At Work Vol. 2, which will see him release a “thoughtfully curated” collection of music from his past and present. Some songs will be reimagined, while others will sound stripped back, all while Hay works in some surprising, genre-defying collaborations.
Promoting the new album, the Down Under singer will perform at the Melbourne Recital Centre on Thursday, 4 December, and Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Thursday, 11 December.
Pre-sale tickets will be available on Wednesday, 28 May, at 11 am AEST, followed by the general sale on Friday, 30 May, at 11 am AEST. You can find tickets via the Melbourne Recital Centre website and Ticketek (for the Sydney show).

Hay comes home after an extensive US tour where he’ll tour with Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band, then a Men At Work jaunt opening for Toto and Christopher Cross, and perform a string of solo shows. Hay then heads to the UK for solo shows before coming home in December.
In 2023, Hay received the APRA AMCOS' Billions Award for his songwriting on Down Under and was honoured with the prestigious Ted Albert Award for Outstanding Services to Australian Music at the 2023 APRA Awards.
Hay said of the honour, “To receive the news that APRA wanted to bestow this most prestigious Ted Albert Award is very special indeed. This award is for outstanding services to Australian Music. I think services is the key word here. It’s important to realise at some point in your life that it is a valuable thing to be of service. To be of some use.”
