While Flume's new single, unsurprisingly, brings him the #1 spot
Melburnian punk upstarts Camp Cope have been enjoying a rapturous response to their recently released self-titled debut album of late, adding to the ream of accolades being slung their way by seeing the record make its entry onto this week's Carlton Dry Independent Music Charts at #2 in the Albums stakes.
It's pipped to the post by Flume's new single Say It, featuring Tove Lo, which takes #1 in the Singles rankings for the week's highest debut across the board, but stands as easily the highest new LP to storm onto the charts, with only Massive's Destination Somewhere joining the full-length entry ranks down the list a spell at #19, just behind the re-entered Daydreamer, by Harts (#18).
Outside of that small disruption, however, the lists remain occupied by largely the same crop of releases we've seen for the past several weeks, with Sia's This Is Acting remaining unmoved from #1, while 1000 Forms Of Fear falls to #4 to make way for new #3 Rising With The Sun, by The Cat Empire. Russell Morris' Red Dirt, Red Heart enjoys a healthy bump from #9 to #5 in its 28th week in the charts, having a flow-on effect to see Urthboy (The Past Beats Inside Me Like A Second Heartbeat, #6) and Sia (Best Of..., #7) drop a rung each.
The top 10 full-lengths are rounded out by C3 Music (Abide, #8), Courtney Barnett (Sometimes I Sit & Think, & Sometimes I Just Sit, #9) and The Drones (Feelin Kinda Free, #10).

On the Singles ladder, Flume's new arrival sends last week's top three down a place each, to see Sia take #2 with Cheap Thrills, Flume's earlier single Never Be Like You, ft. Kai, down to #3 and The Temper Trap's Fall Together down to #4, though Sia's Alive is actually up for the week, from #6 to #5. There are no further debuts, but Vance Joy manages a re-entry for Georgia, stepping back in at #19.
