Bill Duprey of Republic of Wolves has announced the release of As A World Entire, the debut LP of his solo side project, The Year Fifteen. The record is set to be released on March 23. You can check out the track listing below, as well as a message from Duprey about the new project.
"This album has been in the works for a few years now. The bulk of the recording was done throughout the summer of 2012, but some songs (or at least fragments) were written and demo’d starting back in 2008. So, it feels kind of strange to finally be able to put these songs out for people to hear, after having them locked away for so long. In some ways, these songs might feel kind of dated, which could be good or not so good. I was younger and more naive, and even since 2012 I’ve learned so much. It just so happened to work out that we’d be finalizing the mixes now, so I decided to release the album on my twenty-third birthday (March 23rd) and allow everything to come full circle. I’m not really sure if that makes sense, but for whatever reason I thought it seemed like a solid plan. Over time, the meaning of these songs has grown and taken different shapes and while they may never mean the same things to anyone else, I hope they can find some significance in the context of your life. But even if they don’t, I thank you for listening."
