Betty Taylor, AKA the Sunshine Coast’s indie-pop darlings, have today (November 12) announced a final headline tour for 2024.
They’re set to hit Queensland, NSW, and Victoria this December, in support of the upcoming release of their debut EP, Young Dumb Immature - which, according to the band’s social media post, there will be “more news” on, “super soon”. And, though they are yet to announce a release date, Betty Taylor is ready to celebrate with their fans on tour.
With openers Mid Drift locked in, Betty Taylor will play Melbourne’s Workers Club first, on December 12. Next, Sydney’s Low 302 will house the band on December 13. Lastly, Brisbane’s Black Bear Lodge will close out the tour on December 14.
Tickets for the tour are on sale now via Oztix, coming in at under $20 each.

This tour announcement comes off the back of a massive year for Betty Taylor. They’ve been the support act of choice lately, joining The Buoys, The Grogans, and The Rubens on their respective tours, while also headlining their own Europe shows. They’ve also been staples on the festival circuit, set to play Good Gumnuts Festival in early January, and previously making an appearance at The Big Pineapple Festival, NYE On The Hill, and the final iteration of the now-defunct SPRINGTIME Festival.
In a review of last year’s QLD Album Of The Year event at The Triffid, The Music wrote of the band: “Sunshine Coast band Betty Taylor played a stripped-back version of Beddy Rays’ On My Own. With only two of the four-piece band on stage, it was simply guitar-on-guitar action as they played a haunting rendition of the surf-rock song. It was still a bop, just in a different way. Singer Sophie Patrick’s voice added a new depth to the song, giving it a smoother feel. No drums – just ethereal high notes and an iconic electric guitar riff. If they don’t release this cover soon, we will sue.”
December 12 - Melbourne - Workers Club
December 13 - Sydney - Low 302
