All the winners from the 2021 Queensland Music Awards (QMAs)!
Some of the best emerging and established acts Australia has to offer took the spotlight tonight as part of the 2021 Queensland Music Awards (QMAs).
Taking place at Fortitude Music Hall and hosted by The Creases' Aimon Clark and The Grates’ Patience Hodgson, this year’s ceremony played out to a sold-out crowd of over 700 people.
Leading this year’s winners, Miiesha took home the Indigenous, Soul/Funk/R&B and Remote awards for her acclaimed single Twisting Words, taken from debut album Nyaaringu, while Sycco (who performed during the event) won both Song Of The Year and the Pop award for Dribble, and newcomer Beckah Amani claimed the Emerging Artist Award and 2021 Billy Thorpe Scholarship.
Local favourites Ball Park Music, another act who delivered a stunning performance during the ceremony, picked up the coveted Album Of The Year gong for their self-titled effort, and Jesswar made QMAs history by taking out the Hip Hop/Rap award with Venom, maker her the first female artist to win in the category since its introduction four years ago.

Other big-name Queensland acts to take the spotlight included Amy Shark, who picked up the Highest Selling Single award (Everybody Rise) for the second year in a row, Keith Urban, who was awarded Highest Selling Album for The Speed Of Now Part 1 and Sheppard, who were bestowed the Export Achievement award.
Following People’s Choice Awards voting via The Music last month, The Tivoli was named Metro Venue of The Year, Sunshine Coast mainstay The Nightquarter was awarded Regional Venue Of The Year and Woodford Folk Festival was given the Festival Of The Year title.
In its first year, the recently announced Innovation Award went to Troubadour Wagons.
“This year’s QMAs was a true celebration of what has become an incredible local music industry, one that our state can be proud of, both culturally and as a key export industry,” QMusic CEO Angela Samut said.
“With a massive 30 categories, our winners represent the true breadth of talent around our state and no doubt include superstars to follow in the footsteps of our Queensland greats that have gone on to change the music landscape globally.”
