2025 is a special year for Australian pop-rock icons Bachelor Girl as they celebrate the 25th anniversary of their debut album, Waiting For The Day.
To honour the milestone, the group will embark on a string of 25th-anniversary tour dates this May and June. They will perform at the Brunswick Picture House in Brunswick Heads on Saturday, 3 May, Melbourne’s Chapel Off Chapel on Friday, 13 and Saturday, 14 June, and the Sydney Opera House on Sunday, 29 June.
The band said of the rare and intimate performances, “We can’t wait to celebrate this album with you all in person. It’s going to be an unforgettable ride—so come and relive the magic of Waiting For The Day with us, in a way you’ve never heard before.”
Tickets to the Waiting For The Day Redux tour are on sale now via the Bachelor Girl website.
With Waiting For The Day, Bachelor Girl earned their first-ever ARIA Award for Producer of the Year and built a dedicated fanbase with singles Treat Me Good, Lucky Me, and Permission To Shine.
The album’s success didn’t only secure their fortune in Australia, but overseas, the group toured alongside the Eurythmics, Simple Minds, and Goo Goo Dolls. This month, they’ll support The Corrs on their Australian dates and appear on this year’s Red Hot Summer Tour.

Bachelor Girl’s Tania Doko said of the album’s enduring impact, “We are so incredibly thankful to still be here, sharing our music with all of you, and to know that Waiting For The Day has meant so much to so many of you.
“You’ve supported us with unwavering enthusiasm, and hearing how our songwriting and creations have carried you through tough times or brought joyous singing car sessions (!!) into your life has kept us positively chuffed to this day.”
After going on hiatus to pursue their musical careers as writers and producers for artists in Sweden and the UK, Bachelor Girl’s Tania Doko and James Roche reunited in 2018 to release new music and have remained active, playing to their fans ever since.
